Marjan Hill - Split car hire
Marjan is a hill on the peninsula of the
city of Split, largest city of Croatia's Dalmatia region. It is covered in a
dense Mediterranean pine forest and completely surrounded by the city and the
sea, making it a unique sight.
It is also the setting
for numerous beaches and jogging trails as well as tennis courts and the city

of Seven Sorrows, 15th century church of church of Sv. Jere and 9th century
church of St. George. Several other churches that used to stand on Marjan have
been destroyed over the centuries, but the remains of the early 9th century the
church of Our Lady of Spinut can still be found.
Around the coastline of
Marjan are several coves and bays which are popular with bathers. Also along
the southern edge are the Mestrovic Gallery & Museum and the Holy Cross
